A micro-project as part of the Chemnitz European Capital of Culture 2025
PREPARATORY CREATIVE Workshops
Take part in our "Making it Together" workshops to craft everything we need for a spectacular, colourful parade. In these workshops, we will make music, craft costumes out of cardboard and create giant sculptures (flowers, birds and suns) out of willow rods and tissue paper. All workshops will take place at inpeos e.V., Müllerstraße 15. Everything you make can be taken home after the parade on 16 August!
No prior knowledge required • Participation is free of charge • No registration required – just drop by!

Make portable suns and costume pieces (out of cardboard and painted with paint) with free soup after the workshop between 1:00 and 2:30 p.m.

Open singing with simple songs in different languages (45 minutes), plus an additional craft activity for the parade (45 minutes). No musical experience is necessary!

Open workshop with drums and wind instruments. We'll make music and prepare our outfits for our parade! It doesn't matter if you have any musical experience or not, just come and play!

The last opportunity to craft, paint, and create your costume for the parade on Saturday.

If you have participated in one of our workshops before, you should not miss this one either! Come to our rehearsal for the parade! All our street bands, sculptures and costumes will be brought together – accompanied by music from and with the street bands and the choir. There will be snacks and a moment to bring everyone together.
