On a winter's night, hundreds of people gather to parade through Chemnitz in a colourful procession, lighting up the city.
Music and artistically designed lanterns light the way, led by a giant lantern – all created, built and performed together by the people of Chemnitz in the weeks leading up to the event. Each lantern tells a unique story – about a person, a place, a journey.
We create meeting places where everyone can get creative, regardless of whether they have any previous musical experience!
Come and join us!
No prior knowledge required.

Together with young and old, we will write a song, a piece of music that we will all perform together at our closing event on 12 December at Open Space. If you play instruments, please bring them along so we can form a band. Those who prefer to sing are also very welcome!
