PAPER LANTERN COLLECTIVE
We look forward to meeting you!
PAPER LANTERN COLLECTIVE is the first community music collective in Germany to work both locally and internationally. We are a democratic, non-hierarchical collective that has set itself the goal of redefining the status quo: in the industry and in society. We launch large community music projects, create encounters on an equal footing across social boundaries, bring people and communities together through music, and celebrate shared creativity.
We are based on Sonnenberg. Here, we want to get to know all our neighbours. In addition, we want to network with all interested citizens, as well as institutions and associations from the cultural and music scene and social work.

COMMUNITY MUSIC is for everyone
We sing, we celebrate, we eat together, we chat, we craft and build, we meet each other on equal terms and get creative together.
Everyone carries music within them, their own voice, a favourite song, memories of a particular tune – everyone is an artist. Whether with or without prior knowledge, our workshops welcome anyone who wants to come together and make music, sing, discover, experiment or create new things together.
Together with local people and institutions, we develop a community programme consisting of a variety of workshops: community choir, jam sessions, family activities, senior singing, street band, neighbourhood festivals...
Our activities are always free of charge and everyone is welcome.
