COmmunity Music x Club Heinrich

Club Heinrich is a community space run by Mobi, the participation service of the Chemnitz City Mission. It is a place that is open to anyone who wants to experience community. With Community Music, we offer a music programme that invites people to sing, write songs and jam together. We decide together what and how we play, so that everyone can find their place. Highlights of the past year included a song we wrote ourselves, which we performed at the club's birthday party, a jam session performance at the Kosmos Festival, and the musical accompaniment for the nativity play, for which we also wrote a song.

”We started with just a few participants who were able to try out instruments and get involved in ‘freestyle music’, but also sang well-known songs. This was a new experience for our visitors, who all have disabilities. The enthusiasm was palpable and there was always a good energy in the room. You, Matt and Marleen, have a good feel for our visitors and are a creative asset. Over the course of the year, the music workshop established itself and has now become an integral part of our club programme."
